KHETFUND Assures Environmental Hygiene Throughout Monthly Sanitation Exercise
The Kano State Health Trust Fund (KHETFUND) has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental hygiene and the promotion of a clean, healthy and conducive working environment through its end-of-month in-house sanitation exercise, which witnessed the active participation of the Agency’s staff.
The exercise involved the cleaning of office premises and surrounding areas, reflecting the Agency’s commitment to environmental responsibility, staff welfare and the maintenance of hygienic conditions necessary for effective service delivery.
The Executive Secretary of KHETFUND, Dr. Fatima Usman Zahradeen, represented at the exercise by the Director of Administration and General Services, Alhaji Abubakar Bala, emphasised the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment, stressing that the responsibility for environmental hygiene extends beyond the home to offices, public institutions and other workplaces.
She noted that a clean and conducive working environment is essential for promoting staff well-being, enhancing productivity and ensuring the smooth discharge of official responsibilities. She therefore urged staff members to make cleanliness a daily habit rather than a practice observed only during scheduled sanitation exercises.
In a statement signed by Public Relations Officer KHETFUND Amina Lawal Isa said the Executive Secretary further stressed that maintaining environmental hygiene requires collective responsibility, discipline and the active cooperation of all staff members. She encouraged personnel to sustain the spirit of participation demonstrated during the exercise by ensuring that their offices and immediate surroundings remain clean, orderly and conducive to productive engagement.
The sanitation exercise was supervised by the Agency’s Staff Officer, Amina Kasim Batayya, who coordinated and monitored the activities to ensure the effective participation of staff in maintaining a clean working environment.
