Over 1000 Marshall, Party Security Groups Benefits From Plots Of Land By Kano Govt
Over 1000 Marshall, Party Security Groups Benefits From Plot Of Land By Kano Govt
Kano state government has reiterated its commitments to support any group of youth in order to became self reliant for their own benefits and the state at large.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf stated this during the official ceremony for the distribution of land allocation to 1000 party security personnel and community-Based security groups in the state.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Represented by the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim said this is a historic event which Kano state government distributing land allocations to more than one thousand young people who have, in different ways, contributed their time, energy and effort to their communities and to the progress we are trying to achieve in Kano State either as Marshalls of great state rilling Party, or volunteers and community based security groups of the APC.
” I want to speak directly to the beneficiaries.
Many of you have passed through difficult times. Some of you have been known by different names. Some have been misunderstood, some have made mistakes, and some have simply not had the opportunity to show what they can become.
But government must not only look at where a young person is coming from. We must also look at where he can go if he is given the right opportunity.” Gov. Abba said
” That is why we are doing this,
We do not want our young people to remain without direction, without assets and without something meaningful to build their future around.
Today, we are giving you land because land can change the life of a person.” He added
It can become a home.
According to the Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf this opportunity can help to become a business,
It can become security for a family,
And with time, it can become wealth that you leave for your children.
” I want every person receiving an allocation today to understand that this is not just a piece of paper. It is an opportunity.
Use it well.
Protect it.
Develop it.
Let it become the beginning of something better in your life.
And I also want to say something very important.
The strength and energy of our young people must be used for something positive.” Gov. Abba said
The Governor pointed out that the present administration not need to see its youths wasting their lives in unnecessary fights, quarrels and activities that bring no benefit to themselves or their families.
” Help us guide younger people away from violence and trouble,
Help us promote programmes that bring development, jobs, education, housing and opportunities to our people.” He Urged
The Governor also said that , The administration will continue to create opportunities for young people because it believe that empowerment must go beyond giving somebody a small amount of money today and leaving him with nothing tomorrow.
” We want young people to have something to protect, something to develop and something they can proudly call their own. When the history of this programme is written, I do not want people to remember only that we allocated more than one thousand plots.
I want them to say that from these allocations came new homes, new businesses, stronger families and more peaceful communities.” Gov Abba Kabir said
Speaking earlier, the state commissioner for Land and Physical planning Alhaji Abduljabbar Muhammad Umar said the event is another important milestone in a journey that this administration has already begun.
He said Over the past few years, under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the government have deliberately used land not only as a planning tool, but also as an instrument of empowerment, housing development and economic inclusion.
” We have made allocations to different categories of citizens and stakeholders, including more than 500 SSRs/SSAs/SAs and PAs, grassroots supporters from 44 LGAs, more than 1,500 polling agents (‘Yan Dangwale), more than 100 Youths drawn from across the 44 LGAs of the State, and many others. In each case, the idea has been the same: to give people a real asset, something they can develop, something they can build upon, and something that can improve the economic security of their families.” The commissioner said
According to the commissioner, the allocation to more than one thousand young people is therefore a continuation of that policy.
And the impact of these allocations goes far beyond the individual beneficiary.
When land is allocated and development begins, an entire chain of economic activity follows.
Surveyors are engaged.
Architects and draftsmen get work.
Masons, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, welders and labourers are employed.
Cement, blocks, roofing materials, doors, windows and other building materials are purchased.
Transporters move materials.
Small businesses around the new layouts begin to grow.
What started as a plot of land gradually becomes a house, a shop, a workshop, a rental property or another productive asset.
” This directly affects the strength of our economy, the quality of our cities and the stability of our communities.
This is also why Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has insisted on developing proper layouts with roads, drainage, schools, health facilities, markets, mosques, open spaces and other basic services. We do not want to create settlements that will become tomorrow’s problems. We want communities that are properly planned, secure and capable of supporting economic activity.
Your Excellency, these interventions also complement the wider achievements of your administration in education, healthcare, roads, water supply, agriculture, power, housing and urban development.
When Government builds roads, land becomes more accessible.
When infrastructure is provided, property values improve.
When power and water reach communities, businesses can grow.
And when young people own land, they have an asset around which they can plan their homes, their businesses and their future.
So, to the beneficiaries, I want to say this very clearly: what you are receiving today is more than an allocation paper.
It is an opportunity to join the productive economy of Kano State and you should under no condition dispose of it carelessly.
Use it to build something that will improve your life and the lives of your family.” Alhaji Abduljabbar added
” And where the Government is bringing development to your communities, help your people understand it, protect it and benefit from it.our hope is that some years from now, when we look back at these allocations, we will not only count the number of plots that were given out.
We will see houses.
We will see businesses.
We will see stronger families.
And we will see communities that are more peaceful because young people have been given something meaningful to own, to develop and to protect, that is the real objective of this programme.” He said
Other speakers during the event are Special Adviser to the Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on land matters Hajiya Hadiza Gadanya and Special Adviser to the Governor on political affairs Alhaji Mustafa Hamza Buhari among others.

Kebbi Govt Dismisses ADC’s Allegations Over Land Demolition
Kebbi State Government has dismissed allegations by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) linking it to the demolition of a property around Azbir Hotel, along in Birnin Kebbi, describing the claims as false, misleading and politically motivated.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed-BK, stated this during a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi, thr state capital attended by media aides to the Kebbi State Governor.
Ahamed BK accused the opposition party, ADC of repeatedly resorting to unsubstantiated allegations, deliberate misinformation and distortion of facts in what he described as an attempt to discredit the Kebbi State Government and generate unnecessary public controversy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He explained that the incident was essentially a private land ownership dispute which had been mischievously presented by some ADC supporters on social media as an action carried out by the state government against an opposition-owned property.
According to him the subsequent developments and documentary evidence presented by Alhaji Umaru Mohammed Gulumbe, a businessman claiming ownership of the disputed property, established that the matter was a civil dispute between private individuals as the documents presented, according to the Commissioner, was a Certificate of Occupancy bearing the signature of former Governor Adamu Aliero.
The Commissioner further explained that Gulumbe had formally reported the alleged trespass to the Police and petitioned the Ministry of Lands and Housing as committees were constituted to investigate the matter examined the competing claims and confirmed ownership of the disputed plot in favour of Gulumbe.
Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed-BK categorically maintained that the Kebbi State Government neither initiated nor participated in the demolition, stressing that the government had no involvement in the private dispute. He described attempts to associate the administration of Governor Idris, with the incident as a calculated effort to mislead the public and tarnish the government’s image.
He expressed concern that despite the emergence of information clarifying the circumstances surrounding the incident, the ADC had not publicly retracted its allegations or offered an apology to the state government.
He maintained that political differences should never become an excuse for manufacturing allegations or misleading the public on matters that can be established through lawful procedures.
